What we'll do

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and Transfer at your Hotel.

After transfer from the Hotel, you will need to explore the city of Kigali with visits to landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide and post-genocide times. Make a visit to the Genocide memorial, Campaign Against Genocide museum, visit to the local market, art gallery visit, Kandt House Museum, Camp Kigali memorial as well as visit to Nyamirambo. Overnight in Kigali

Day 2: Buhanga Forest

Morning transfer to Musanze for Buhanga forest visit. Located in Nyakinama about 8 kilometers west of Musanze town, Buhanga Sacred Forest is exceptionally a hidden secret in Rwanda. For magical safari in Rwanda, consider visiting Buhanga Forest while you are on a safari to Africa. It features not only its spectacular flora but also credited for cultural traditions that are linked to it. The forest straddles within a 31 hectares of land and it acts as an important ecological site in Rwanda. In Kinyarwanda, Buhanga means creation and the belief has it that the creation of Rwanda began from this point.

Day 3: Golden monkey excursion.

Return to the entrance of the Park early this morning to see the Golden Monkeys. It is now believed the only feasible population of these Golden Monkeys resides only in Volcanoes National Park. They are beautiful and endangered primates which have become quite habituated to humans, making it possible to observe them closely. After lunch at the Lodge, relax or visit the twin lakes or some local communities.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest/ Mgahinga

Breakfast at 6:00 am then depart from hotel to go through the undulating hills of Rwanda and south western Uganda until we reach the fascinating rain forest of Bwindi. Overnight at Buhoma tented lodge. En-route will have lunch at local restaurant.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking

Early breakfast then we transfer to the park offices. After completing our park formalities, we are embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas in the impenetrable forest. The trekking may take a whole day but it’s a guarantee to see gorillas there. Overnight at Buhoma.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali International Airport

Breakfast at 6:00 am then transfer to Kigali; en-route visit , local markets, souvenir shops.
