What we'll do
The most popular peak at Mount Mulanje is the Sapitwa peak. It is recommended to at least have 2 nights and 3 days up at the mountain to reach this peak. We will start this hike from Likhubula forest in the morning around 7:00 - 8:00am. We will buy food together in the previous day or you can decide to charge me to buy food for you. As there are no shops we will carry our food to the mountain, and you can also decide to hire porters to carry your things. We will sleep 2 nights in mountain huts.
This hike is a 3-days hike, the recommended amount to reach the Sapitwa peak. You can decide to make it a longer hike as well. Contact me if you need more information or want to discuss more details about the hike.

We can meet at the tourism office, but I can also pick you up from Mulanje town or from Blantyre

Good to know
- I work under the Malawian government rules, $30 is my daily price guiding up to 10 people.
- If you are a group more than 10 people, then an additional guide will join us also with a daily fee of $25
- The provided price is only my guiding fee, additional fees include the hut fees and the mountain entry fee
- Food is also not included in the price, there are no shops on the mountain so we can buy food together before the hike or you can charge me to provide full board and I will do the shopping
- Porters are available for a daily fee of $20 to carry your things, I can arrange them for you
- People prefer to hike from April, but it is possible to come at anytime
- As guides at Mount Mulanje work for daily prices we kindly recommend you to provide us some extra tips at the end if you like the activity

Cancellation and refund
The booking fee ($9.90 p.p. included in the displayed price) is non-refundable if you cancel your booking. If a local cancels a booking or does not show up at the agreed time and place, you receive a full refund of the booking fee.

Locals get 100% of the price they want. The booking fee is added separately.
