The booking fee ($18.70 p.p. included in the displayed price) is non-refundable if you cancel your booking. If a local cancels a booking or does not show up at the agreed time and place, you receive a full refund of the booking fee.

Meet the Local
Joseph Azure is my name, Co- founder of Citizen Tours. I was born and raised in the small but historically significant coastal community of Elmina. Elmina is located in the central region of Ghana and is one of the first sites of European settlement in West Africa. Due to this rich local history, at a young age I developed a passion for celebrating and learning more about my local and national culture. My many years of experience as a tour guide has allowed me to share my passion and knowledge of Ghanaian culture with others. I have been a guide and expedition leader for about 7 years and still counting. I have led and organized tours for people of all ages and from different part of the globe. I love travelling, and excited to show the beauty, food and rich culture of Ghana to tourists worldwide. I am very enthusiastic, self-motivated and patient in work. I know how to communicate well with everybody and understand the important of listening and respecting my clients and others. I am very friendly, funny and an easy going person who welcomes people of all ages and different cultural backgrounds with a smile. I have experience in handling big or small groups, family etc. I have guided students groups from the UK, USA and other part of the world, I have worked with companies like Partner Ghana (Partner Schools Worldwide) West African Safaris etc. I hold a (First Aid Certification). And able to put people at ease and adjust to new environments. I possess a strong love nature and enjoy passing on this passion from my land to my clients in an exciting and educational manner which will leave them not only with a lasting memory of my country but also of myself. Key Skills and Capabilities: - Takes charge of meeting clients at the airport, or bus stations. - Ensures that my clients are comfortably settled in their hotels or resorts. - Explains the itinerary and schedule of the travel Provides significant information about each destination or attraction visited with emphasis on its cultural and historical meaning - Manages meals and transportation related to the tour Handles emergency situations; manage sudden changes or modifications to the tour. - Responsible for the enjoyment of clients; ensure that they have a stimulating experience of local offerings .- Can arrange for camping for people who would love to camp. Can design custom tours to meet all the client’s needs
