What we'll do
Day 0: Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to Nairobi Hotel
We’ll pick you up from the airport and transfer you to La Maison Royale Hotel for overnight. Incudes: Bed & Breakfast
Day 1: Nairobi/Sirimon/Old Moses Camp 3-4 hours, 9km, 860m ascent
We’ll begin at 7 am and drive for about 4 hours to get to Nanyuki town and halt there for lunch. Heading further, we’ll proceed to Sirimon Gate (2440m). From the gate, traversing dense forest which later becomes heath land after about 3½ hours, we’ll finally arrive at Old Moses Camp(3300m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Old Moses Camp to Shipton Camp 6-7hrs, 14km, 900m ascent
After breakfast, we’ll follow the track uphill to cross Ontulili River. Heading right, traversing the moorland, we’ll cross Liki North and continue uphill to Mackinders Valley from where we’ll see panoramic views. Dinner and overnight at Shipton Camp, (4200m).
Day 3: Shipton Camp –Acclimatization day
We’ll spend the day acclimatizing. We’ll walk to Kami Hut down to Hauseberg Lakes (Hauseberg Tarn and Nanyuki Tarn) and head back to Shipton for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Shipton camp to Point Lenana to Mount Meru Bandas (Chogoria Gate) 11-12hrs, 32km, 785m ascent
Starting early at 3 am we’ll begin on the steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff to reach Lenana point (6km from Shipton Camp) by 6:30 am. Here, we’ll see an incredible sunrise. Thereafter, we’ll descend to Mintos hut (6km) for breakfast and walk for another 4-5 hours further down to get to Mount Meru Bandas (2950m) for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chogoria Bandas to Chogoria to Nairobi
Descending for about 2hours through the forest, we’ll reach Chogoria Village from where your transfer vehicle will take you back to Nairobi.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at La Maison Royale Hotel for overnight. Includes: Breakfast and Lunch

After breakfast, we’ll drop you off to Jomo Kenyatta Airport.

- Climbing crew: - Professional guides, licensed by Kilimanjaro National Park. All our guides are the holder of Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid certifications. - Dedicated support crew (assistant guides, camp master, porters, cooks, etc.).
- Entry fees: - permits, crew fees, camping/hut fees, rescue fees and Value Added Tax (VAT) and all other fees collected by National Parks Authority.
- Meals: - All meals on the hike. Prepared by our professional cooks. (vegetarian/gluten-free/halal options are available at no extra cost ) - Celebration dinner after climb - All drinks on the hike (coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate and water).
- Accommodation: - 2 Nights at a 3 - star hotel with breakfast included ( before and after the climb ). Please note: All accommodation is on sharing basis (i.e. you will be sharing with your travel companion a twin/double room in the hotel and a tent during the hike. If you travel alone, we will match you with a same-sex adventurer), however a if you prefer a single hotel room or single tent that can be provided at an extra cost. We also offer other amenities for an extra cost such as a heater for your personal tents.

Cancellation and refund
The booking fee ($45.00 p.p. included in the displayed price) is non-refundable if you cancel your booking. If a local cancels a booking or does not show up at the agreed time and place, you receive a full refund of the booking fee.

We give space for creativity. The locals themselves decide and develop the activity idea and design it in a way they find interesting.
Locals get 100% of the price they want. The booking fee is added separately.
