What we'll do

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, our representative will meet you and drive you to the Mvuli hotel in Arusha. Later our safari manager will come for a detailed safari briefing & leave you to enjoy the nice weather of Arusha city & lodge facilities.

Overnight at Mvuli Hotel in Arusha or similar. Breakfast included.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Leave the lodge after breakfast for Tarangire National Park, the driving is via Arusha town & along the beautiful Masai steppe, drop your safari chef at Makuyuni junction and enter the park for your first game drive of the trip. Tarangire runs along the beautiful lines of the Tarangire River and mostly is made up of low-lying hills on the floor of the Great East African Rift Valley. The vegetation in this park mainly consists of huge African baobab trees, scattered Acacia woodland, and a large swamp area in the south.

Tarangire River and the swamp are acting as refugee camps for the wild animals during the dry season. This park is highlighted with some of the largest elephants heard found nowhere in Africa, the rare species of animals like the Fringed-eared Oryx and the Great Kudu are also found here. Tarangire is home to 400 species of bird including the rare Ash Stalling. End up this day of your Tanzania best-camping safaris & Zanzibar beach by driving to your campsite during or before sunset.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park “The wild Africa” driving is across local villages and along the high lying farmland of Karatu until you reach the Ngorongoro gate. After registration & other park formalities, you will drive up to the highlands of Ngorongoro 2,300 meters, stop at the crater viewpoint for some great photos of the crater floor from above. After driving along the Crater rim and down to the endless rolling plains of Serengeti National Park.

On the way stop at one of the Masai villages where you will be invited by Masai warriors for some cultural encounter, you will go in and around their houses & you will have a brief story of their nomadic life around this area, you will meet members of the family and kids, you may ask questions & take pictures with them. Later they will sing a farewell song that involves jumping high, you are allowed to join the dancing. Afterward, drive to Naabi Hills Gate for check-in to Serengeti.

Spend some time for registration and other park formalities, this will be the time to have your packed lunch and thereafter start your afternoon game drives in the Serengeti in search of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Arrive at the Camp during or before sunset.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti

We recommend an early morning game drive starting at 06:30, depart your campsite after a cup of coffee carry your breakfast box and lunch box. Early morning game drives allow you to witness the beautiful sunrise in the Serengeti with the possibility of spotting cat families on the road as they spend most of their morning time on the road avoiding the morning mist.

You can also see other predators coming back from their long night of hunting or a group of lioness planning a morning ambush or eating along the road. if the Wildebeest Migration will be packed in Serengeti you will go straight to where they are and spend time with them, you can anticipate seeing some animal action like hunting, fighting, eating even hunting. Serengeti is still worth a visit with or without the Wildebeest Migration. Later on, you go back to your campsite during or before the sunset.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

On this day the best camping safari & Zanzibar beach holidays take you to the world’s natural wonder The Ngorongoro Crater. Depart Serengeti after breakfast, en-route game drive up to Naabi Hills gate & past Malanja depression, reach Ngorongoro Conservation Area & descent 600 meters into the Crater floor for game viewing.

Ngorongoro Crater the Eden of Africa has formed some million years ago due to internal forces, after the eruption it left a huge caldera which was mistakenly called Crater. Supported by a yearly water supply from the highland of Ngorongoro and enough fodder the Crater supports a larger variety of wildlife including herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippos, buffalo, topi, eland & the rare black rhino.

This picturesque crater has a dense population of predators like hyenas, lions, Cheetahs, jackals, and the mysterious leopard which needs a sharp and trained eye to spot. Birds are abundant from aquatic to forest birds, with a bit of luck the so-called Big Five can be seen in the course of one day of game drives.

Apart from animals the Crater to a larger number of bird species both aquatic and terrestrial birds. You will visit the hippo pool & a large but shallow alkaline lake on the Southwest corner of the crater frequently visited by some flocks of flamingos & hippos. Break for lunch & later drive to Simba public campsite at the Crater rim for dinner & overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Zanzibar

Best camping safaris & Zanzibar beach day 6, after leisurely breakfast pack your stuff & take nice pictures of the famous Simba Campsite before starting your way back to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar at around noon. If you like you can visit some of the Masai market or curio shops on the way to Arusha. Breakfast & lunch included.

Arriving at Zanzibar airport, you will meet our representative who will transfer you to Sunshine Hotel Zanzibar in the North East of Zanzibar Island.

Overnight at Sunshine Hotel Zanzibar on the North East of the Island. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 7-8: Zanzibar beach

Relax and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar, if you wish you can organize some water sports with the lodge. (Option) you can arrange a visit to the spice plantation and the stone town on one of these days or you can do the spice tour on your way to stone town on day 9, and maybe the stone town tour on day 10 if you have a late flight.

Overnight at Sunshine Hotel Zanzibar on the North East of the Island. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beach to Stone Town

On this day after breakfast, you will depart for stone town en-route (Option) you can do the famous spice tour which includes lunch (Zanzibar dishes cooked with spices) after the tour you will drive to Tembo House Hotel in stone town. In the afternoon you can walk around stone town on your own or you can arrange a boat ride to Prison Island and come back during the sunset. See Zanzibar island tours

Day 10: Departure

Depending on your flight time, after breakfast (Option) you can do a guided stone town tour or relax and walk around until your departure time to Zanzibar airport for your flight back home. Breakfast included.
