Romantic: Chobe National Park & Authentic Victoria Falls Safari Package

African Bushwalker Tours
Adventure into an untamed world where famous wild animals roam thrilling landscapes and play out nature’s greatest script. Visiting the colossal pounding streams of the Victoria Falls. After you touch down at the Victoria Falls International Airport and transfer to your accommodation around the corner from the falls, you will meet your guide for the day and continue towards “The Smoke that Thunders.” The Zambezi River’s immense curtain of water will flow over a 100-meter vertical chasm, one and a half kilometers wide, and you will feel the chilly spray of the pounding water from a nearby viewpoint sharing panoramic views of this Natural Wonder of the World. Cruising the Chobe River While chances of witnessing a lion kill in real-time are slim, the possibility exists. With ample time to discover Chobe, you will certainly locate the magnificent giant cats lazing under the shady trees and strolling the plains with their prides. Furthermore, you may encounter the entire Big Five during your trips across the park. Returning to your campsite later today, you may bask in the beautiful scenery from a unique vantage point on board a boat cruising the glimmering ribbon of Chobe River right on your doorstep.

What we'll do

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 TO 2: SEE THE GRANDEUR OF VICTORIA FALLS & SUNSET DINNER CRUISE

When you touch down at Victoria Falls International Airport or Livingstone International Airport, you will be met by out Trip Leader who will take you the short distance to the hotel and help you check into your deluxe room. If you like we can arrange a guide to show you the falls but quite honestly the path along the Victoria Falls is easy to explore and very spectacular. Just remember to take something waterproof as the spray from the Falls can make it seem like you are in a rainstorm at times.

Victoria Falls Town is a lovely place to explore with its curio shops and local street artisans to barter with. The famous Victoria Falls Hotel is a wonderful place to pop into for afternoon tea and is a throwback to the Victorian era.

Should you wish to see the Falls from the air then we can arrange a helicopter flight for you (ideally in advance so as to avoid disappointment) and our operator of choice will collect you from the hotel at a time of your choosing for a flight. We normally recommend taking the longer 25-minute flight to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

DAY 3 TO 5: GO ON A SUNDOWNER BOAT SAFARI & SEARCH FOR PREDATOR'S OF CHOBE

You wake up early in the morning to freshen up with some hot water in the face basin. This is followed by a heavy breakfast of some coffee, tea, rusks, cereals, bread, etc. before heading off to Botswana border and out into Chobe National Park for your two nights game drive.

Chobe is one of the best places to see and photograph Roan and Sable Antelopes. Puku Antelope occurs nowhere else in southern Africa but only on the Chobe floodplains. On the other hand the massive herds of African Buffalo that inhabit Chobe are constantly flanked by the ever–hungry lions of the Chobe.

Chobe RIVER BOAT CRUISE

The highlight on these two nights is a boat cruise on the Chobe River. In this way we are giving ourselves a very different angle and aspect for seeing and photographing Chobe’s wildlife.

This boat cruise gives you the chance to experience the animals of Chobe NP from a different perspective. Therefore, with this boat cruise, you might get up close and personal with hippos, crocodiles and a mind-boggling array of water birds.
