This 8 day journey explores destinations in Botswana that are well-known for offering the most unforgettable safari adventures, that is, Chobe National Park, Savute, Moremi Game Reserve and Okavango Delta. Your journey begins in the world-renowned Chobe National Park, known for its huge concentration of elephants that gather along the Chobe Riverfront. Game drives and boats cruises afford up-close encounters with an abundance of wildlife, including the famous Big Game. Your exploration continues in search of wildlife and we ​​cross the arid plains of the Savuti region, where lonely bull elephants dominate the scenery. Savuti is also known for its high density of predators. Lions, cheetahs and African wild dogs in particular can be easily observed here. Your exploration ends in these two destinations, Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Moremi Game Reserve is a wilderness wonderland that forms part of the Okavango Delta and we end with a relaxation through explore the river systems of the Delta by boat and on a traditional dugout canoe called a mokoro.

What we'll do

DAY 1 : EXPLORING CHOBE RIVER ON SUNSET BOAT SAFARI

On arrival in Kasane you will be meet with our experienced guide and transferred by vehicle to your private designated campsites. Depending on your arrival time, you can join the afternoon game activity, which is generally a boat safari on the Chobe River. Boat safaris along the Chobe River are a wonderful way to experience close encounters with an abundance of riverine birds and animals. You can enjoy watching elephants playing in the river or going for a swim. Game drives offer opportunities to see and photograph the stunning range and concentration of wild life that the Chobe National Park is famous for.

DAY 2 TO 3: INTO SAVUTE & EXPLORING SAVUTE MAGIC

This morning you will rise very early, greet the fresh African morning with coffee and some light breakfast, before heading out on your last safari drive in the Chobe wilderness as the early mornings normally offer an improved opportunity to view the predators.

Eventually you will leave the Chobe ecosystem and travel off to Savute for a two night stay.

Savuti is best known for its predators, both big cats (lion, leopard and cheetah) and birds of prey,raptors, vultures and all manner of birds of prey that soar over Savuti’ landscape in search of food. Perhaps the strangest phenomenon of all about Savute is the 100 kilometres Savuti Channel. At times it will stop flowing and remain dry for years at a stretch. When the Channel recommences its flow, it changes the entire ecosystem, transforming the Savute Marsh and Mababe Depression into wetlands and thus creating an oasis that provides water for thirsty wildlife herds and acts as a magnet for a profusion of water birds.

DAY 4 TO 5: INTO SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF PURE SAFARI IN MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Awesome sightings which will be enjoyed during your authentic bush life! You will spent the next 2 nights exploring the Moremi Game Reserve where you will be blown away by a leopard kill and a cheetah kill if the nights rewards you. Talk about bush television.

Our mobile camping safaris allow one to experience the wild in its purest form and explore some of the most amazing natural havens on our planet while observe its thriving wildlife.

An experience in Africa with a setup like this in the bush is definitely an opportunity you need to grab with two hands

DAY 6 TO 7: OKAVANGO DELTA EXPLORATION ( MOKORO RIDES & SAFARI WALKS)

Wake up early morning for coffee/tea, cereals, rusks and cooked breakfast. After breakfast you will set off with your guide for Okavango Delta for your safari walks in the Okavango Delta. As you explore the Okavango on foot you will once again be searching for game as the Okavango is world famous for its rich biodiversity. These safari walks are led by local guides who are part of the community that lives on the fringes the Delta. On these outings you may come across a combination of game animals and you will also be presented with excellent photographic opportunities to capture the beauty of the Okavango. It is possible to spot game such as elephants, hippos, zebras, etc. during these safari walks. Come back from the safari walk around midday to chill and enjoy your lunch.In the afternoon you will set off once again to explore the Okavango Delta either on foot or in a mokoro. Return to camp in the late afternoon to have a shower and thereafter enjoy a campfire cooked dinner.

DAY 8: ON LAST SUNRISE & HOMEWARD BOUND

After a good night’s sleep you will awake to a vibrant, fresh breakfast with a freshly brewed pot of hot coffee and enjoy your last breakfast in OkavangoDeltaeco-systems and enjoy the scenery surrounding the campsite one last time. You will squeeze in a morning sunrise photo over the horizon before your transfer to the airport for your onwards travel arrangements. What an adventure. Let's do it! Ok maybe not right now, but we know will be back again. It gets everyone.

ACCOMMODATION: Serviced Camping in en-suite tents on a mobile safari

SAFARI CAMP LIFE:

  • On safari your camp staff attend to your comfort by erecting and dismantling the camp and preparing delicious meals cooked on an open fire.

A serviced safari has walk in ensuite meru style tents complete with your own bucket shower and bush loo, staff who prepare delicious meals throughout your safari and a camp assistant to take care of all camp duties.

WHAT YOU WILL DO ON SAFARI:

  • This safari encompasses the diverse Okavango & Moremi eco-systems and Chobe. Your days on safari are focused predominantly on game drives exploring amazing wildlife and birdlife areas however the safari will not include a one hour scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.

BOOKING THIS SAFARI:

  • Book this safari as part of a small group of maximum 7 guests or book the entire departure as a private safari for families, honeymooners or special interests.

A private vehicle and guide is available on any of our scheduled safaris subject to availability which enables you to share the camp with others but you have the exclusive use of your own private vehicle and guide.

What to bring

  • Safari Packing Guide: - When travelling on a mobile safari, luggage must be compact, light and easy to pack into the trailer. Each guest is strictly limited to 20kg of luggage in a soft carrier bag and an additional small day bag plus limited camera equipment. We suggest you bring the following: - Good quality flashlight and spare batteries/bulbs - Camera with spare batteries, film or memory cards - Good quality pair of binoculars (8×30 or better) - Fleece or sweater and a warm jacket for colder winter nights (July – Aug) - Beanies, scarf and gloves for the cold early morning game drives in winter – it can reach 0˚C - Sun block, lip balm, sunglasses, hat, swimsuit, insect repellent and mala ria prophylaxis - Toiletries and any medications

Cancellation and refund

The booking fee ($45.00 p.p. included in the displayed price) is non-refundable if you cancel your booking. If a local cancels a booking or does not show up at the agreed time and place, you receive a full refund of the booking fee.
