Silunguzi Village near Matopos National Park is a Ndebele remote settlement located near Bulawayo. The village is very spectacular with its famous balancing rocks, Bushman cave Paintings and the Villagers are very lovely and welcome. This tour will allow you to meet the villagers and see their day to day life.There are little hills around this village where few rock paintings can be seen and they are still visible.There will be an opportunity to test some local food in the village which is prepared by the villagers. Visit to the village market and join them on day to day talks.

What we'll do

Pick up from your Hotel/Lodge in Bulawayo City.

Drive to Silunguzi passing aside the Matopos National Park where chances of seeing some wild animals are very high. Animals which may be seen are zebra,girraffe,impalas,wathogs,baboons or even white Rhinos. The drive is very scenic as we will pass through the stunning landscape of the Matopos area.

Upon arrival at the Silunguzi Village, we will be meet by a local Guide who will join us for the Tour showing us the cave paintings,taking us to the village and meet the local people and see how they conduct their day to day life in this remote area. There are opportunities of testing local food or local traditional beer if you wish to. You can also enter the Ndebele traditional kitchen and see how it set and how food is prepared.

Proceed to climb a near by small hill to see more cave paintings in the fish Cave.The local Guide will explain to you how the paintings had been made. We will proceed further to the hill top to have a full view of the Silunguzi Village.

After our refreshments, we will pass through the local open market i the village if you would wish to buy local made stuff. After the market visit, drive back to Bulawayo to end the Tour with a drop off at your Hotel. Thank you for visiting our remote Village of Silunguzi!
